Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question about our choirs? We hope we answered it below, but if not feel free to send us an email at mississaugasummerchorale.com!

Will the concerts be in person or online?

For the safety and consideration of our audience and choristers, this year’s 2021 Final Concerts will be both in person and virtual.

Our concert, “Choose Something Like a Star”, will be held on August 31st and will feature choristers from Sehnsucht, Duende, and Rocambolesco. This will be an in-person indoor concert. For the safety of our audience and choristers, we kindly request all audience members be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination will be requested at the door, and those who fail to show proof of vaccination will be turned away.

Our concert, “Lost in the Stars”, will be held on September 1st and will feature choristers from Frisson and Sehnsucht. This is an outdoor concert, and we invite all audience members to enjoy a night of beautiful singing regardless of vaccination status.

For those who are not able to join us in-person, we will have a virtual concert available. More details to come!

What is acceptable proof of vaccination?

Acceptable proof of vaccination include:

  1. Vaccination receipt provided at the time of your second vaccine dose; or
  2. Your vaccination receipt downloaded from covid.ontariohealth.ca

Your vaccination record will not be kept on file, and will only be seen by our front of house staff as you enter the church.

Will there be an audience capacity?

Our concert on August 31st has a capacity of 100 audience members for each show.

Our concert on September 1st does not have an audience capacity, but we request each audience member to bring their own chairs.

For each concert, please keep your mask on throughout the duration of the concert. We kindly request those who do not live in the same household to maintain a 2 metre distance at all times.

What will rehearsals look like?

Similar to our 2020 season, MSC’s two choirs will start with online, virtual rehearsals. The meeting link will be sent out to each chorister via e-mail. Once the province of Ontario deems it is safe to hold in-person gatherings, rehearsals will pivot to in-person rehearsals.

We understand some choristers may be apprehensive to move in-person or do not live in the Mississauga region, so to make sure rehearsals are accessible to everyone they will also be livestreamed so choristers can attend online.

What time are rehearsals?

MSC houses two choirs: Sehnsucht and Frisson.

Tuesday – 7:00pm – 9:30pm

Wednesday – 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Once in-person rehearsals begin, Frisson’s rehearsal time will change to 6:30pm – 9:00pm.
